Domaine Alain Voge

Founded in the mid-20th century, Domaine Alain Voge initially focused on small-scale production of local wines. Under Alain’s leadership, the estate underwent a transformation, becoming one of the first in Cornas to champion low-intervention winemaking and the unique qualities of the region’s terroirs.

Today, the domaine farms approximately13 hectaresof vineyards, all of which are managed underbiodynamic principles. This commitment to sustainability reflects Voge's belief in respecting the land and producing wines that are true expressions of their origin.

Vineyards and Terroir

Domaine Alain Voge's vineyards are located on steep, granite-rich slopes that define the Cornas and Saint-Péray appellations. The extreme topography and poor soils make these sites ideal for producing wines of concentration, minerality, and finesse.

• Cornas: The estate’s Cornas vineyards are planted exclusively toSyrah, the signature grape of the northern Rhône. The vines, many of which are over 50 years old, benefit from granite soils and a warm microclimate, yielding powerful and age-worthy wines.

• Saint-Péray: The domaine is equally renowned for its white wines from Saint-Péray, crafted fromMarsanneandRoussanne. The limestone soils and cooler conditions in this appellation lend elegance and freshness to the wines.

Winemaking Philosophy

  • “Les Chailles”: A more approachable Cornas, highlighting vibrant fruit and silky tannins, ideal for earlier drinking.

Saint-Péray

The estate’s white wines are benchmarks for the Saint-Péray appellation.
