Mas des Justes

$0.00

Mas des Justes lies at high elevation in the Languedoc’s Terrasses du Larzac, where granite soils and cool nights preserve acidity. Certified organic and biodynamic, the domaine’s old vines produce low–yield fruit with intense aromatic lift.

Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre are vinified with native yeasts in concrete and wooden vats, with rack-and-return to extract gentle color and tannin. Aging in neutral barrels refines texture without imparting oak flavors.

Mas des Justes wines are notable for their vivid red and black fruit, peppery spice, and precise mineral backbone. The bottlings show power tempered by finesse and longevity.

Signature Wines

L’Effet Papillon Vieilles Vignes Carignan
This red blend—featuring Grenache, Carignan, and Cinsault—delivers a fruit-forward profile with bright acidity and soft, approachable tannins. It is expressive and generous, capturing the warmth and vibrancy of the region.

Juste Blanc! Blanc de Noirs
Made exclusively from Cinsault grapes, this unique white wine offers a crisp, fresh character with delicate aromatics. It's a lively expression of red-skinned grapes vinified white, with a light body and a clean, mineral finish.

Mas des Justes Rouge
Primarily crafted from Cabernet Sauvignon, this red wine is structured and bold, with a harmonious balance of ripe fruit, acidity, and integrated tannins. It pairs well with robust dishes such as beef, veal, or hearty pastas.

Terroir and Philosophy

Rooted in the IGP Cévennes appellation, Mas des Justes embraces a philosophy centered on biodiversity, soil health, and respect for natural cycles. The vineyard's high-elevation parcels and limestone-rich soils contribute to wines of freshness and energy. The domaine preserves local traditions while experimenting with regenerative methods and lesser-known grape varieties, producing wines that are both grounded and forward-thinking.
