Château Le Puy is a family-run wine estate tucked into the hills above Saint-Émilion, in the Gironde department of Bordeaux, where limestone-clay slopes and centuries of undisturbed soil give shape to its wines. Farmed by the Amoreau family for over four hundred years, the property has never used chemical treatments, working instead with biodynamic principles, horse-drawn plowing, and a deep respect for the land's natural balance. Grapes are hand-harvested and fermented with native yeasts, often with little to no added sulfites, producing wines that are pure, energetic, and unmistakably tied to their terroir. Each bottle reflects the quiet intensity of old vines and living soil—dark fruit, mineral depth, and a natural tension between structure and freshness. Château Le Puy's wines speak in a quiet, natural voice—unadorned, textured, and deeply expressive of the limestone-clay soils from which they emerge. Their flagship cuvée, Barthélemy, is a Right Bank blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon aged in old oak, offering layers of dark cherry, forest floor, and a mineral backbone that unfolds slowly over time. Emilien, sourced from younger vines, shows the same purity in a brighter, more immediate form—fresh red fruit, gentle spice, and a lively, food-friendly energy.
