La Stoppa
La Stoppa stands as one of Emilia-Romagna’s quiet radicals — farming with conviction long before it became shorthand for virtue. The vineyards are worked as part of a broader living environment, where biodiversity isn’t an aspiration but a condition of the place, and where time is given space to do its work. Historic varieties including Barbera, Bonarda and Malvasia di Candia Aromatica are the conduit, delivering wines of detail, vitality and unforced character. There’s no rush here, no glossing over edges; just thoughtful farming, patient élevage and wines that carry texture, movement and a clear sense of where they come from.

Wines
La Stoppa’s wines move at their own pace. Built from traditional varieties including Barbera, Bonarda and Malvasia di Candia Aromatica, they speak more of season, site and patient handling than winemaking intent. Long fermentations and a hands-off approach draw out texture, freshness and layers of savoury detail rather than overt fruit or polish. The reds carry quiet structure and energy; the skin-contact whites bring shape, perfume and a kind of gentle wildness. Across the range there’s a sense of ease and conviction — wines that feel alive, settled into themselves, and unmistakably connected to where they’re grown.
