Haras de Pirque

$0.00

Haras de Pirque is a pioneering organic estate in Chile’s Maipo Andes foothills, blending Bordeaux varietals with Andean altitude. Vines of Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenère, and Syrah thrive in granitic, alluvial soils cooled by mountain breezes.

Fruit is vinified with indigenous yeasts in temperature-controlled stainless steel, then matured in a combination of French and American oak, mostly once-used to respect purity. Minimal sulfur is added before bottling to stabilize freshness.

Haras de Pirque’s wines are richly textured yet poised—dark berry fruit, fine-grained tannins, and a cool-climate lift that sets them apart in the New World.

Haras de Pirque is a historic Chilean wine estate located in the Maipo Valley, at the foothills of the Andes. Combining Chilean terroir with Italian winemaking expertise (through its long-standing connection with Marchesi Antinori), the estate produces elegant, structured wines with a strong sense of place. The vineyards benefit from high altitudes, excellent drainage, and cool mountain breezes, resulting in wines with vibrant acidity and refined character.

Key Wines

Albis
This flagship red blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Carmenère is the estate's boldest expression. Deep and concentrated, it shows ripe black fruit, graphite, and herbal undertones, with polished tannins and a long, persistent finish. It is a powerful yet balanced wine, built for aging.

Haras de Pirque Cabernet Sauvignon Gran Reserva
A classic Maipo expression, this Cabernet is structured and full-bodied, with notes of cassis, plum, cedar, and a touch of mint. The tannins are firm but refined, and the oak integration adds depth without overpowering the fruit.

Haras Character
This red blend combines Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Carmenère. It is expressive and modern, with dark fruit, spice, and floral notes. Smooth and approachable, it offers generous texture with a lifted, fresh finish.

Haras de Pirque Chardonnay Reserva
From cooler vineyard blocks, this Chardonnay is crisp and vibrant. It offers aromas of citrus blossom, green apple, and a hint of vanilla from partial barrel aging. The palate is bright and creamy, with a mineral edge and good aging potential.

Style and Philosophy

The wines of Haras de Pirque reflect both the finesse of Old World winemaking and the boldness of Chilean terroir. The estate practices organic viticulture and aims for low-intervention in the cellar, emphasizing balance, elegance, and authenticity. Each bottle captures the tension between sun-ripened fruit and mountain freshness, resulting in wines of depth, structure, and clarity.
